Report of the Annual Clergy Conference, Jan 29-30, 2016

The clergy of the Syro-Chaldean Church of North America gathered together for prayer, praise, and reports from the various churches and ministries of the Church. The conference was hosted by The Congregation of the Messiah in Tuckahoe, NY, Bishop of Westchester Rt. Rev. David Flores, pastor.

The meetings started off Friday evening with an extended time of glorious worship and intimate fellowship, and ended with His Grace the Most Reverend Bertram Schlossberg, Metropolitan, exhorting the faithful through his sermon on Acts 13:1-3. Saturday's sessions were focused on the theme of Preparation, with extended times of prayer, hearing from the Spirit, prophetic reflection, and reports of the wondrous works of Christ accomplished through the various people, churches, and ministries of our Church.

The conference culminated in the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist (Qudasha) presided by the Very Rev. Ben Torrey, Archdeacon, and assisted by the Rev. Deacon Jeffrey LeFleur.

Ecumenical representation from interested church bodies included a Japanese pastor from The Christian and Missionary Alliance and a Korean delegation whose pastor leads several independent churches in the New York Metropolitan area.
